The beach of Maganuco on the south-eastern coast of Sicily has a wide sandy beach almost a kilometer long and is located between Marina di Modica and the port of Pozzallo, just a few minutes’ drive from our holiday home complex. While the golden beach of Marina di Modica with its shallow waters, which is only 50 meters from our holiday homes, is particularly suitable for sun lovers and families with children, the beach of Maganuco, is ideal for surf lovers.
Thanks to its exposed position, the water here is often choppy and the east and westerly winds always create waves, ideal conditions for surf lovers. In summer, the westerly wind predominates, gentle in the morning for beginners and a little fresher in the afternoon for advanced skiers. On easterly wind days, there are stronger winds in the morning and gentler winds in the afternoon. Maganuco Beach is characterized by a turquoise sea with very shallow water that slopes gently towards the open sea, so beginners and advanced surfers alike will find safe and ideal conditions for learning and practicing water sports.
